Community Guidelines

WIP is a community built around personal growth, self-improvement, and supporting each other on the journey to becoming our best selves. These guidelines help ensure WIP remains a safe, positive, and encouraging space for everyone.

1. Be Supportive and Respectful

WIP is about lifting each other up. We expect all members to:

  • Treat others with kindness and respect
  • Offer constructive feedback and encouragement
  • Celebrate others' progress, no matter how small
  • Recognize that everyone is at a different stage in their journey
  • Be patient and understanding with fellow community members

2. Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe environment, the following content is strictly prohibited on WIP:

2.1 Harassment and Bullying

  • Threats, intimidation, or targeted harassment of any kind
  • Bullying, mocking, or belittling others
  • Doxxing or sharing others' personal information without consent
  • Stalking or unwanted persistent contact

2.2 Hate Speech and Discrimination

  • Content promoting hatred based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Slurs, derogatory language, or symbols associated with hate groups
  • Content that dehumanizes or incites violence against any group

2.3 Violence and Dangerous Content

  • Threats of violence or incitement to harm
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content promoting self-harm or suicide
  • Instructions for dangerous or illegal activities
  • Terrorism or extremist content

2.4 Sexual Content

  • Pornography or sexually explicit material
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Sexual solicitation or exploitation
  • Content sexualizing minors in any way

2.5 Illegal Activities

  • Promotion or facilitation of illegal activities
  • Drug trafficking or promotion of illegal substance use
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
  • Sale of regulated goods without proper authorization

2.6 Spam and Manipulation

  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or excessive self-promotion
  • Fake accounts or impersonation
  • Manipulation of engagement metrics
  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Misleading or false information that could cause harm

3. Content Guidelines

When sharing your work in progress and self-improvement journey:

  • Share authentic progress and experiences
  • Give credit when sharing others' work or ideas
  • Use content warnings for potentially sensitive topics
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Keep discussions relevant to personal growth and self-improvement

4. Privacy and Safety

  • Protect your personal information and that of others
  • Do not share private conversations without consent
  • Be cautious when meeting people from online communities in person
  • Report suspicious behavior or potential security concerns

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately:

  • In-App Reporting: Use the report button on any post, comment, or profile to flag content for review
  • Block Users: You can block any user to prevent them from contacting you or viewing your content
  • Contact Support: Email us at support@trywip.app for urgent matters

All reports are reviewed by our team. We take every report seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Enforcement and Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • Content Removal: Offending content will be removed from the platform
  • Warning: A formal warning for minor or first-time violations
  • Temporary Suspension: Temporary loss of access to the platform
  • Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from the community for severe or repeated violations
  • Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement for illegal activities

The severity of the consequence depends on the nature of the violation, whether it's a repeat offense, and the overall impact on the community. We reserve the right to take action at our discretion to protect our users and community.

7. Age Requirements

WIP is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 should have parental consent before using the app. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover that a user is under the minimum age requirement, their account will be terminated immediately.

8. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, you can appeal by contacting us at appeals@trywip.app. Please include your username and a description of the situation. We will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days.

9. Updates to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to address new behaviors, improve clarity, or reflect changes in our policies. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of WIP after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
